The Culture Explorer Programme is crafted specifically for leaders dedicated to navigating, evolving and enriching the cultural landscape in their organisations.
The programme provides an opportunity to dive deep into Culture: what it is, how it works, and how we change it.
Drawing on a range of research, the sessions are based on dialogue and exploration with fellow explorers from a range of different organisations.
This year, Julian’s writing on ‘Culture Weaving’ is now being included in our upcoming programme and this exciting work is aligned to Social Leadership, which considers key questions of interconnection, motion, and ‘boundaries’ – leadership at the intersection of systems, and the role of leaders in change.

Why join the programme?
Embark on an insightful journey to delve into the complexities of organisational culture and your pivotal role as a culture explorer. Over 4 weeks, we will explore:
- The social structures of organisations and how they relate to culture
- Power and culture, what moves culture and the power that leaders hold
- The influential role of storytelling in fostering belonging and driving change
- Agility, fracture and failure – how culture changes, how culture fails and consequences of failure
- Ownership and individual agency in culture evolution
- Our leadership role as culture explorers
The learning approach is one of structured reflection, within a small cohort, guided by a scaffolding of questions. Each week we look at ‘Culture’ through a different lens. And at the end, we bring these lenses together.
Approach
At Sea Salt Learning, our approach combines ‘Scaffolded Social Learning’ and structured reflection within a small cohort. Each week we examine Culture through various lenses to explore its multifaceted nature, culminating in bringing these lenses together. Culture Explorers will gain:
- A holistic understanding of culture creation
- Lenses through which to view, action and plan for activity
- The role of leaders in weaving organisational culture
Programme Details
Duration: 4 weeks, 90-minute navigation sessions and 30-minute for individual and small group activities per week.
