Foundations of the Social Age MOOC

January 1, 2018 - January 1, 2019
In the Social Age, everything has changed. Over the course of this MOOC, we will explore twelve aspects of that change, and consider how we should adapt, both ourselves, and in the organisations that we work for.
What kind of change? This map illustrates just some of the broad swathes of change: The Social Contract between organisation and individual is fractured, the nature of work is changing, we’ve seen the democratisation of communication and the devolution of creativity, with the old structures of power and control replaced by socially moderated and dynamic forms of Social Leadership.
The ecosystem of the Social Age is radically different from that which came before, and the pace of change is only set to continue and speed up. To survive, and thrive, we need not simply to adapt part of what we do, we need to adapt the fundamental nature of the organisation itself, and to do that, we must understand the realities of the Social Age.
